Three days a go I went to Sainsbury for groceries shopping. In this most crucial time of the term, where minute is considered more valuable than bucks, I didn’t plan to have a heavy shopping knowing that I’ll probably end up filling my stomach with instant food for the whole week. I went there in the evening with this piece of paper as shopping guideline. I always like to list all the things I need to buy before I go shopping, so that it’ll be effective and efficient.

Moral of the story is: girl made shopping list not because they want to avoid buying unnecessary things but only because they want you to think that they’re this self-discipline person. Cause in the end, for us, everything simply looks necessary if it’s in a shelf and has price tag on it.

a nearly bald experience

Yesterday morning, as usual, i was innocently drying my hair using my one-month-old hair dryer. Halfway through it I heard some unusual and funny noise came out of the dryer that I hold just inches away from my hair, I ignored it at first, but then I smelled something burning and just realized that the dryer had stopped working. Curiously, I peeked into the dryer and was shocked to see there was fire inside it. I was damned scared and immediately turned it off. Have I reacted slower, I think I there’s a chance that my hair would be on fire. I really couldn’t bring myself imagine how I might look like bald.

However, the good thing of living in UK is they have this 30 days return policy. Which means when you purchase some stuffs, and if after that you change your mind, you can always return or exchange it within 30 days. Actually it has been 31 days since I bought the hairdryer, but when I went to the shop earlier today they still allowed me to exchange or refund it. I choose exchange, so now I got the brand new one. yeaayy… and just to be safe and to avoid future hair burning, this time I put the 3 years covered insurance for the hairdryer. hahaha.. I know it probably too much (my blackberry isn’t even insured), but heyyy I really can’t stand any baldness accident.

I know this come out a bit late, but at least I manage to upload it ^^ .. I went to Belgium earlier this year, in January to be exact. In there, nothing surprise me more than the fact that chocolates can have such a significant position in one’s life. They have hundreds of chocolate shops, and each is designed elegantly unique. It looks more like jeweleries store for me. And of course they have a wide range of flavor, from the common one like chocolate with almond inside, chocolate caramel, to chocolate with chili and pepper filling. And yes it was spicy, I tried. It was not a voluntary act, I have to say that I was trapped by the shopkeeper. He was holding a tray of chocolates (there were only two flavors of chocolate on that tray) and asked me to try it. I took one chunk that had red dots in it, which I firstly thought was cherry (what else could you have guessed?!!). Then as I put it on my mouth the shopkeeper said nicely “that is chili and pepper chocolate”. A little too late, I already chewed it. And it tasted bloody weird. As he was waiting for my response, I struggled to find words and kept my face as normal as possible. “mmmm errr … it was errrr different” that was the only thing I can say
